@enduser@berserker.town I was pretty close to that. Of course I knew that the Matrix was some sort of VR, but the fact that there was war against machines or that people are used as power source either didn't make it to me during all these years or have been well forgotten.
I did try watching it several times when it just came out, but I always found it boring for some reason so I never finished it.

@enduser@berserker.town TBH it happened to me a lot, even with the movies that I grew to like later. For example Fight Club โ€” like WTF, they are making soap, why should that be interesting? Later I was introduced to Jung's archetypes and so maybe Tyler was a representation of protagonist's shadow, maybe the girl didn't exist either and was his Anima โ€” these theories made the movie a whole lot more enjoyable to watch ๐Ÿ˜…
