Unfortunately Maduro falls in favour again as the gap that appeared on oil market after 🇷🇺 was sanctioned has to be filled somehow. Guaidó's name has already disappeared from all the sanction papers. Had the cunning plan to remove Maduro existed, the US would have never done that.

That of course I agree with! But I mean even if US came in guns blazing and removed Maduro from his position, would it be worse for people of Venezuela? What would US do, make them live on minimal wage, pump out all the oil? They are already living like that 😂

I agree with that and I think I said that before we even got into the Venezuela debate. A lot of people used RT as a platform just to be heard because the weren't allowed to use more… mainstream media. RT did gain some credibility this way in the US before turning into a full-blown propaganda outlet. Well played!

My people doesn't know its own history as it gets rewritten for every generation. Most, even the educated ones, believe that Napoleon invaded in 1812 because he wanted to capture their land. A few know about continental blockade of UK and that Russia itself failed to uphold its end of deal, not outright refused,just sabotaged it

The recent desperate attacks are part of this — so no one realizes that manpower is already spread thin. Once Ukraine brings newly received equipment to operational status the frontline will cave in and it would be hard to convince general public that negotiations make any sense. Rumors of Belarus joining the war effort are also part of this.
