@thor Phones might be more engaging though, with TV you can only change channels, with phone you can interact with other people online — big "tech" (surveillance) companies often play on that. You can hardly get same rush as from getting likes on social media by watching TV.

It was a joke. But I have the same impression, people here are more tech-savvy on average even if they aren't into tinkering with computers — at least they get how decentralization works, this is also rather tech-y. Their hobbies and skills might be quite different — it's not contradictory 🤷

I think you've made a typo, it should be 10.6, but 10.9 was good actually! Since then everything started rolling downhill IMO. 10.10 was a disaster! It did get better now, but after a brief period of trying to live with Windows, I'm also back to Linux. Void in my case. I even have it on my PowerPC-based Macs. I'm a former longtime Gentoo user, but I'm not going back to that — too time-consuming 😅
