@atyh
Of course we will! I don't expect you to accept my point of view, nor I expect you to take my words for granted, I'm just sharing my opinion.
I was pessimistic about what was happening in Russia since 2014, it may have seemed unreasonable at the time, but now that I see how the most recent events unfold, everything falls into place actually.
But, like you said, we just wait and see.

@gabriel
Oh, yes, I might have overreacted a bit 😋
I do agree that it's quite possible that the ones in power in Russia are likely to believe in such predictions. In fact, there are rumours that they believe in even more weird esoteric stuff. And, judging by how they love symbolism, e.g. picking particular dates for certain events, these rumours are probably true.
@atyh
@atyh In Russia some are brainwashed by propaganda, convinced that it's okay to start a nuclear war for the cause they don't really understand. That's no spiritual awakening, that is pure insanity.
And despite the narrative, the propaganda tries to push worldwide, there were never any conservative values in the western sense in Russia, people here were always dirt for the almighty state — that's oriental despotism in its worst sense. If that is spiritual awakening, we are doomed.

My reply was for @safiuddinkhan@fosstodon.org , I've mentioned you because it was your thread 😅
> I've push several fixes upstream in void
It's great that you share! I never do that and only fix stuff locally as I don't have a GitHub account, now that everyone is leaving, I'm not sure if I should have one.
@safiuddinkhan@fosstodon.org
I can't say anything about non-free software, I don't have any on my Linux boxes, but when free software breaks in #VoidLinux, it's really easy to fix with xbps-src: change the version in the template file, fix the checksum with a Void-supplied xgensum and rebuild, or, if there is a patch, put it in the corresponding dir, rebuild — done! Package templates are in git repo, so it's easy to rollback if anything goes wrong.

Don't fret, guys, Russia's economy is failing. It might not be obvious, especially from the outside, but it is. It wasn't in a good shape to begin with, COVID was a deadly blow, now, with "mobilization", pushing young men, the most economically active demographics out of the country, or sending them towards imminent death, definitely won't end well.
@Jessica
> if I need a numpad I have a seperate numpad, which I never use
Same here actually, I use these keys like… almost never. Arrows and F-keys too, I prefer vim style of moving around and even Ctrl+J instead of Enter, but when I'm at the desk and not using laptop's built-in keyboard, not having these keys just doesn't feel right. Space is not a problem in this case and I always end up using full-sized keybs 🤷
A matter of habit, I suppose.

Just in case: DMs/PMs simply don't exist on this instance as concept — don't use them, use the other instance if you absolutely have to, or send an email to any address at m0xEE.Net or .Com or .Org, but I prefer keep most communication public.
