@thor Congratulations! I hope you like it. Even if it's not your job for lifetime, it's a nice change of pace and some new experience. One of my first jobs was internal tech support for an enterprise and what I liked about it is that it was more about human interaction, not the tech stuff. I was into tech since I was a kid so there was nothing to learn in this regard, but human interaction was an invaluable experience! Go for it!

@mjdxp One of my cats is somewhat of a princess — likes being surrounded with this crazy amount of pillows. I think it also has lizard genes — it likes stretching its neck while sleeping so I call it dragon sometimes 🐉

Only to discover a website full of photos like that, but with squirrels! Just squirrels using vintage cameras! The whole website 🐿

I've failed so I told them to just destroy the box, but they've contacted Ableton instead and told them it would be shipped back at their expense. Ableton contacted me and told me about the issue. I've decided to pay the fee not to cause them trouble so I got the box, but they don't ship physical goods to Russia anymore 🤣

Funny thing is, I'm partially responsible for the fact that Ableton doesn't ship to Russia anymore. I've ordered a boxed version long time ago and when it arrived the customs fee I was to pay was really big! I've tried to convince the customs that the box was like €40 and that the licenses in the invoice aren't physical and are not really in it.

@thor The songs were a demo for some fest, I was sure I had a month to do everything, but then the fest was moved to a sooner date, two weeks earlier. And they had to upload it even earlier so I had a week. So I load the files into DAW and realize how bad the recorded material is! And we didn't have time to redo it. I mixed three songs in three days and had to jump through a lot of hoops to make it sound better. They did like the result though. I was so relieved I got dead drunk🤪

@thor I did it for free once. Well, they were friends 😁
I was interested because I've never recorded music like that: female vocals + acoustic guitar and ukulele in one of the songs. We tried recording it at home as we had all the equipment, but the acoustics was not good enough and it was noisy for recording music like that so we've rented a studio. Did three takes of each of three songs and I took it home for mixing.
This is where the fun started 😅

I can relate. You don't even realize what this red flag talk is about because you've never encountered a person like that before or didn't become close, even if the relationship didn't work out previously, there was no drama, you could even stay friends. Until you meet THIS person and you can't fix it no matter what you do on your side, and you realize — oh, THIS is abusive!
