Software becoming worse rant

@rvps2001
Interesting interview with a few original and unusual insights coming from a Western person.

@chris
Nice keycaps! And the cat of course 😻

@iska @BigDuck @ente
Did anyone already make a pack to use with your own nginx?

@mjdxp This VLC dev didn't have his patch merged 😂

@useless_idiot @rvps2001
Well, there are lots of those in the West who have been eager to pick up the dusty old Cold War rhetoric and back that up. Even some of those whom I held in more or less high regard — and even some of those who have "been there, done that" like Kissinger.
Whether they had "monetary incentives" to do so or if they are just that detached from reality, remains unclear to me 🤷

@useless_idiot @rvps2001
Now that everyone has seen how it goes, NATO can probably take the capital using only one division 😂
In Russia no one takes this NATO invasion crap seriously — even those who don't hold US in highest regard, those who have served in the army, they understand that were it for some real NATO invasion, with all the equipment that Ukraine only has in scarcity and personnel trained to use it, it'd be probably over in a few days, well within a week.

@swaggboi
Isn't it sativa though? 🤔
I think stevia is the plant used to produce sweetener, one of the most popular sugar replacements.

@swaggboi
Important to note that many systems have "noclobber" option enabled in systemwide bashrc, that prevents overwriting files by redirecting output to them.
In this case you have to use ">|" to force overwriting, so it would be "true >| ~/.ssh/known_hosts".
Here is what looks like a nice article explaining this in a bit more detail: geeksforgeeks.org/how-to-prote

@rdr
"Outside" isn't exactly safe either 😂

@GNUxeava
What's wrong with XFCE, why should it not have a userbase? 🤔

@psychictides
I am involuntarily confined to streaming right now too — staying in Russia I don't have access to any payment systems. I can ask my friends abroad to help me with paying for hosting or VPN, but I can't bug them about games or music. So I only stream or download free stuff. Even putting zero into "pay what you want" field suddenly became justified — never did that before 😅

@psychictides
I'm not even sure Spotify supports lossless TBH, I know Tidal and Deezer do, but not so sure about S. As for 24 bits, it should give wider dynamic range in theory — not all genres would benefit from it equally, I think it's mainly important for acoustic recordings, so jazz, classical music, live rock shows… I don't think it's that important for electronic music, hip-hop and studio-recorded rock music.

@psychictides
I might have a certain perception bias, but many here, myself included, prefer to have their own local copy instead of streaming, so posting BC link, at least in addition to Spotify, is well worth it.

@psychictides
Ha-ha, true, you must have it on all other major platforms too. I was going to ask for BC link specifically, but then I have found it right on your profile 😄

@psychictides
Why omit the BandCamp link?

Good stuff so far! It's night here and this is just what I need 😁

@kirby Why the hell not? There is a wide selection of them already. And with this whole secureboot thing, it's like there isn't much choice 🤷

@kirby @dcc
People can run it locally BTW and not give two fucks about any vulns. Basically it only requires Go and doesn't have to be configured in any way.
