It's also ridiculous from portability perspective — who cares if your software is cross-platform, who cares if even Rust is — you can only build it on platforms that Google cares to support. I mean, you can always cross-build — but that makes building it even more complicated, I've even cross-compiled Firefox with xbps in Void, but to me it looks like tremendous job was put into making it work and I'm not even sure all the platforms are still supported 😩

Maybe migrating to another hosting provider is easier when everything is inside a container, but I'm not sure about that 🤷

The whole "immutable infrastructure" approach might make sense in bussiness environment — as in the whole cluster gets recreated from the ground up each time you update your thing so no one ever has to tweak the production. When some hardware gets toast or unavailable — no big, just run more nodes with the same role, scaling also gets easier…
But when people just run their instance in a container and keep updating it, it makes zero sense to me.

None of this makes sense, the only two things that sound familiar are Kubernetes and yaml 🤪
Valera deleted all the backups 🤷
@csessh No, some things you have to do yourself, what if a cat you DON'T like comes up all of a sudden — you just have to check all of them out 😸
@noek
My cats take my chair all the time, sometimes you only go to the kitchen to get yourself a cup of tea and there they are, seat's taken 😹

Why not make a web-interface for it with HUUUGE ASS buttons? 🤔

It's PERLOOMBRA!

@squeevening So to say, giving a helping paw — yes, that one above the keyboard 😹
@mischievoustomato
What are your settings for interpolation? In my experience it's either too expensive from the resources perspective or looks like garbage especially in non-animated movies/shows. My TV on the other hand does an amazing job with it: it's smooth and looks really cool — nothing like what mpv does 😅

@thor
The metaphor doesn't have to be overly complex to be beautiful… But yeah, in this particular case it's too simplistic to my tastes too 😅

keyd worked perfectly! Among all things this MBP has a buggy trackpad and that has to be worked around by loading the Broadcom kernel module early after that both KB and pointer are presented as a single event device file, but luckily keyd has a mask to filter out mouse/pointer events.
I still have my sway/wtype-based workaround in place just in case — but so far so good, works even outside graphical sessions now 😁

Just in case: DMs/PMs simply don't exist on this instance as concept — don't use them, use the other instance if you absolutely have to, or send an email to any address at m0xEE.Net or .Com or .Org, but I prefer keep most communication public.
