if you quit from mpv with Shift+q rather than just q
it will save your position in the file so you can resume from where you left of when you reopen it
on mpv.conf you can set save-position-on-quit=yes and it'll always save it, even works for me on Celluloid.
i know about this because im an autist and I care about music/video so I configured my mpv with nice shit.
@mischievoustomato I actually have a really nice mpv config setup
I just never knew about this because its something I never really needed all that much
it's something that's rarely needed (and this saves text files on your .config/mpv/ folder), but it's nice to have. I have configured my mpv to upscale with the igpu and it also uses the igpu to convert the color to 10bit
I also enabled interpolation

What are your settings for interpolation? In my experience it's either too expensive from the resources perspective or looks like garbage especially in non-animated movies/shows. My TV on the other hand does an amazing job with it: it's smooth and looks really cool — nothing like what mpv does 😅
