Thus the uploaded file retains its original name 🤷
There's also the Dedupe filter — it updates the "path" field and doesn't care about "name" so it works.
Ironically, the only thing that checks the "name" field are tests, so from test's perspective the filter works just fine, neither the file name in the real file system, not the resulting URL are checked 😂
#Pleroma has AnonymizeFilename filter. Does anyone use it with Local uploader?
It doesn't seem to work for me. It updates the "name" field of "upload" struct, but that field is only used twice in the code: together with "id" it's assigned to "path" field, but that is done BEFORE upload filters are applied and later to fill the description field, which I don't care about.
As "path" field gets assigned before even running that filter, that is what is used to store the file in the file system.

Хуже всего — когда это не настраивается. Ведь есть и противоположное мнение: если бы некоторые приложения не переставали запускаться без системного WebView, я бы его вообще давно отключил.
@rvps2001 Exactly so! No one seems to be even aware. Now that Twitter is gone, video posted on Fedi is how this information got to me 😅
But then I've checked The Insider's website for details of course.
@enduser@toot.io Agreed! Absolutely despicable level of rudeness! 😄
It's funny, but that is exactly how a lot of people are wired — they got so used to being able to rate things that they expect it everywhere. Especially funny when it comes to something like "fighting capitalism" — they don't expect it to be something like relying on DIY things more, they want some kind of "Uber of fighting capitalism" so they can rate it 1 star and what? Oppressors come up with better exploitation? 😂
@safiuddinkhan
@safiuddinkhan You know what? That's rude! Why don't you just look it up for me?
You are that friendly community so you've got to live up to my expectations or else… I will go online spreading rumours about how rude you are!
What do you mean you aren't getting paid for this? That's just rude! 🤣
@iska Replaced by a KGB agent, original one is held in Lubyanka's underground prison 😅
@neural_meduza
Опять? 😒
@moffintosh
Probably Shinji jerking off to Asuka joke, but I wonder what a heart rate of a healthy Pikachu should be? 🤔
It's something rodent-like, probably close to a hamster, that would make rate well above 200 normal when inactive, 113 is way too low. And what is 72? If that is oxygen saturation, it's very low too! Poor thing is suffering 😭
@mjj My cats are only stealthy when they are trying to get into the storage room unnoticed — so they cant spend the next couple of hours sitting there in the dark, eventually get bored and start meowing loudly for me to let them out — that is if I'm still at home. But I'm not easily fooled and always check on where they are before closing it 😹

@kingtor The show did an amazing job to demonstrate that — his family did support him and gave up some of their morals too, but then then there was some wake up call for them — I don't remember it too well, AFAIR it had something to do with hurting their brother-in-law who was with the DEA. It's ironic how he did it all "for the family", but in the end stepping on this path of destruction set even them apart. That's what giving in to the dark side entails! Spectacular show! 😁
@Radical_EgoCom@kolektiva.social
@kingtor
Exactly! Even if that "dark side" is indeed part of human nature, it may lay dormant all our life and never awaken. Had he not been put in these extreme conditions and it became acceptable for him to give up some of his morals to fend for his family, he might've taken Heisenberg to his grave.
If not all, then most of us, have this dark side, but the extent to which we let it take the wheel is different.

> "It's definitely not a visa," said Dan Hamilton, a senior non-resident fellow for foreign policy at the Brookings Institution. "It's an electronic entry-point, an authorization for countries that are currently visa-free."
Yeah, definitely not a visa, looks NOTHING like a visa to me 🤣
@mira With batteries and power adapters it's more justified than with say RAM or wireless network cards — these things might explode and cause fire when not made up to spec. With latter I'd more often go with a trusted brand, with former — I'd do my best to get the original parts if those are still available.
Not charging at all is obviously bad, but a warning is acceptable IMO 🤷
@kevinrothrock
This is just a fresh take on the infamous "write high, edit sober" principle 🤭

Just in case: DMs/PMs simply don't exist on this instance as concept — don't use them, use the other instance if you absolutely have to, or send an email to any address at m0xEE.Net or .Com or .Org, but I prefer keep most communication public.
