@kaede@ilyamikcoder.com There is a sci-fi movie that explores this idea: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anon_(fi
According to the linked article it was poorly received, but I actually kind of liked it. In no way a masterpiece, but I'd watch it once again.

Using safebooru.org is another option.

Можно! Но придётся и город заменить. На Raccoon City 😱

У нас такие дискотеки, что спины уходят только так! 💃🕺

@lauren Also we've noticed that you switched to a different VPN exit node so we just blocked your account.It doesn't matter if you're sure it was you so we'll just force you to change your password.And you can't change it back to your old secure password that you could actually remember — just use something like IH@teApple123 and use password recovery anyway next time you have to login because you couldn't remember the digits and refused to write it down on sticker🤪

@millihertz Exactly!
What's worse, it wasn't even UEFI-compliant at first! It was a nonstandard implementation in Macs up to 2011 models! That is why only Macs newer than 2012 were up to spec to boot Windows in EFI mode, with earlier models you had to resort to Boot Camp — Apple's BIOS emulation 🫠

@millihertz Oh my! I still have a couple of old Macs that have Open Firmware and I never realized that the language is Forth actually.
It's really odd that Apple had already been using Open Firmware with PowerPC, but still went with EFI on switching to Intel.

@millihertz Why not cmus? I also used to use mpv and a shell script of sorts, but switched to cmus recently and never looked back. It's easy on resources and still has a TUI, a control utility in case you want to bind some keys in your window manager, a selection of utilities that display "now playing" notifications on track change. It's good!

@millihertz Oh, yes, could be Arm-specific! I haven't seen that neither on my x86_64-musl, nor on i686-glibc Void boxes. It does sometimes consume a lot, but nothing out of the ordinary, in my case cache is to blame.
Maybe updated gcc used to build packages has something to do with that, I think it was bumped to 12.2 a few weeks ago 🤷

@millihertz I sometimes leave it running for days and I've never observed anything of the sort. Could that be the cache? Try setting the limit to 20 seconds — usually more than enough. Mine can cache up to a half of three gigabyte video, but I'm fine with it. I don't like that my badly-written Lua scripts make it spawn a lot of processes though 🤭

@Rezard

@Rezard Ну вот молча стоять в очереди не так уж и просто 😅

@jaseg I still don't like it 😅
But you are right, what looks like a weird quirk is actually a pretty smart trick!

@neglesaks@mstdn.io A friend of mine sent me that pic. And then I see your post about books! This was the perfect opportunity to reply and post that picture here that was somewhat related at the same time! 😹

@nosleep Oh, the Soviet medical worker script! 😆
