Ok, got it!
> all three accounts set up on mobile
Does it affect battery life? I use Tusky, which uses Unified Push, ntfy and all that — shouldn't be a problem, but I've noticed that being active on Fedi and getting a lot of notifications still has a noticeable impact on my phone's battery life.

I'm not against a little shitposting now and then, I just wanted to know which one is the primary, in other words which one you are most active at.
I know you usually react to e.g. cats in some way, but last time I posted some cats in reply to your mastodon.social account, you didn't and I got the idea that maybe it's automatically mirrored 🤷
It's your accounts, do whatever you're comfortable with, it's not a problem for me at all 👌

At least uBO and Privacy Possum are there. In Fennec F-droid you can even access about:config to disable WebRTC.

Rock and hip-hop/rap music is going to be prevalent here because these songs have lyrics. Okay, and I'm biased. There are a lot of talented Russian jazz and electronic musicians and I'm going to make room for them by making a few exceptions, here for example.
Punk-jazz band that you can actually dance to, their live shows are superb! Friends of mine so it's always a few beers and a great walk at night time in Moscow — if they have a gig, I'm in! 😅

I'm going to post some Russian music. If there is Russian culture worth preserving, it's this, not Dostoevsky and Tolstoy. I know, Dostoevsky was influential, but to me he's just second grade Kafka (who was influenced by him). I'll pick Joyce and Proust any day, Russian literature would probably end at the bottom of my chart. Same with music, I love Stravinsky and Skriabin for example, but they aren't that well known in Russia, not that Russian I guess 🤷
Okay, let's roll!

High-imprudence — in case you've got yourself high impedance headphones and intended to use those with your smartphone.

This old-school hardware firewall does wonders 😅

Alright, can I just be Russian once in a while?
Not the crazy homicidal Russian, but plain old not-too-healthy fun Russian. No, I'm still not talking about drunk knife-fighting, I'm just going to enjoy some vodka and a Bulgarian crime TV series 🥴

There was a brief period of Windows. I was into digital painting and music at the time. I still wanted to be able to use Painter and Live. Windows 8 was good, but it was also getting worse with every major release.
Now I'm back to Linux. I was a Linux user since the 90-ies and I was using Linux-based systems all this time, just not on my daily driver computers. So it's like coming back home for me😁

Yep, it was my favourite release! That installer looked way too familiar so I asked.
It started its long road downhill with 10.5, but it was bearable till 10.9.
10.10 was the breaking point for me — just too heavy for the eyes to be used on two 30" displays 😩

Is this the meme you got your former name from? 🤔

@tomxcd@fedi.nullob.si Is that 10.4?

Love this joke!
Bojack Horseman was full of "why the long face" jokes and the main character is a horse so it was always funny 🤣

Ha-ha-ha-ha! Razer Synapse actually had such a feature, they've collected stats: which keys you press more often, which parts of screen you mouse cursor is more active at, etc.
I'm not sure this data was sent somewhere, but maybe it was. It was controversial to say the least and I think they've removed it since then, but who knows, maybe they still collect it, they just don't let you know 😅

@evelyn
It actually makes sense!
Soviet champagne wasn't even close, it was just a meh-quality wine.
And Russian Parmesan is cheese in name only 😂

@icedquinn
Wow! I'm out of the loop, but that's a lot going on there.
Yep, looks like they have the above mentioned HuniePop, but I can't even access the page — have to log in to confirm age.
This game caused a lot of controversy outside of Steam though, I think it was banned on Twitch at certain point. Not only because it's adult, but for some other reasons — objectification of women? I don't see it in that game, but who am I to judge 🤷

> not everyone's a fan of Spotify's revenue model
Oh, yes, that too! I've attended a lecture by some British guy, whose company consults labels on all this. Their revenue model is too complex even for big name label execs to understand.
TBH, I'm not into streaming and Spotify in particular. I prefer physical media any day, if not that — Bandcamp is cool. It was bought (by Epic Games? 🤷) but it's still okay I think.

Not Japanese only, looks like a lot of well-known western music is missing too. I wanted to watch some Sneaker Pimps videos this morning and discovered this comment on YT.
Sneaker Pimps, FFS?!
Aren't these streaming platforms only good for having everything in one place?
Later comment revealed that it's for copyright reasons — alright, at least that's reasonable.

@icedquinn
> opening the platform up to h-games
They didn't have them? Why use an online game store if there is no HuniePop in there?
GOG were reluctant to let the VNs in, but it's justifiable at least. If you open this Pandora's box, your roster will be overwhelmed by VNs in no time 😅
