@Jessica
OMG 😱
Then, maybe it's worth getting that 80-port thing!
@Jessica PinePower looks nice too: https://pine64.com/product/pinepower-120w-desktop-power-supply-us-version/
It's smaller, but of course it doesn't have 80 ports 😅
@kf Michael Hewitt has series of books on music theory: "Music Theory for Computer Musicians", "Harmony for CMs" and "Composition for CMs" — there might be more by now, but I only have these 3.
I already knew the basics when I read them, but I think they are really good and easy to understand, e.g. he uses not only standard music notation, but also piano roll found in most DAWs, guitar tabs, show what chords/scales/modes look like on the keyboard…
I'd recommend these books!
@captainepoch One of the rare cases when text actually makes the picture funnier 😹
I just got rid of the color as it would be another factor of making them harder to arrange this way.
This phone has a boot animation based on the image used as wallpaper, and even boot sound based on a track composed by me 🤪
Here are some screenshots of the home screen in question: https://social.librem.one/@m0xee/108980858120492466
I've been partaking in a discussion of some people's trait/idiosyncrasy of arranging items by their color: https://social.librem.one/@m0xee/108955030149258151
And I'm convinced to believe I'm not one of them, but I'm looking at the screenshots of my phone's home screen and realize that I might be worse. It is minimalist, but I spent a lot of time to make it look like this. The apps in the drawer are sorted alphabetically, but look like there is some system behind this, at least to me.
@Zerglingman
I use something called Omega Launcher. It has LOTS of features I don't really need, but I really like that you can get rid of all the labels, the search and make the widgets full-width. Looks really nice.
But, I really did struggle to make the punch-hole not obstruct the wallpaper, spent like half an hour on small thing like this. It looks okay on the preview, you press "Ok" and it looks all wrong — like I said, had to do it the trial and error way 😅
@MK2boogaloo @waifu
@thor
> makes no sense in terms of the labour involved
I see what you did there 😏
You're a Marxist because you think the world is unfair,
I'm a Marxist because I'm a stupid lazy person,
We are not on the same level!
@thor I bet these cats could be good at Assassin's Creed 🤣
@tomxcd@fedi.nullob.si
If they don't mind ☺
@evelyn
@thor So true!
@thor At least it not the kind of Russian tourists from that Okkupert show, who can barge into anything, are loud, require a lot of service and can shoot you if they don't like it 😂
@Pixificial
Yup, and considering where I live it's not too bad to be somewhat paranoid.
But I think I went a little overboard and it's time to let some of that go. I don't selfhost, but I use the instance of a privacy-oriented company, and I use VPN from another privacy-oriented company from a different country to access it, I don't have my real name or phone number specified — should be sufficient from privacy standpoint and true anonymity is not what I strive for here.
@neural_meduza
Что-то подсказывает мне, что дело вовсе не в курсе доллара 😏
@copyrights
I agree, it doesn't look like tusks at a glance at all, but… It's literally in the name 🤣
@dzuk
@joel Are those Arctic icons? I recognize none of these, except for Files and Tusky, but maybe I just use different apps 🤷
@iska@mk.starnix.network
They should be if you have proper microkernel architecture.
QNX used to be like that, it was true microkernel and RTOS on top of that, so kernel was designed to be really minimalistic, AFAIR it only had IPC and memory management, everything else: networking, filesystems and whatnots were modular, so you could remove them lest you didn't need them.
Then Quantum Software were acquired by RIM and it all went south 😢

Just in case: DMs/PMs simply don't exist on this instance as concept — don't use them, use the other instance if you absolutely have to, or send an email to any address at m0xEE.Net or .Com or .Org, but I prefer keep most communication public.
