I created a 'burner' LinkedIn account so I could see some important-for-work postings that were only visible by authenticated users. I'm now getting (sometimes multiple) daily spam telling me how I'm 'on a roll'. No I'm bloody well not. I revile that place and everything it stands for.

Most software is still fine.

#GTK apps are not fine.

I never used kinetic scrolling and I don't want it now either. I guess I'll have to patch my GTK for that.

I want to zoom pictures with my touchpad. I don't understand why it doesn't work now (eom, viking).

I wanted to rent some CPU power from Hetzner to calc better text prediction data for #LinuxMobile.

Created account via VPN so they wanted additional ID information which I sent with passport number removed. Resulting in:

For the government to take a hatchet to the public sector, then follow it up with barking "GET BACK TO WORK" just screams of the utter ignorance not only of current evidence on workplace productivity, but the absolute contempt with which they see the employee relationship generally.
They are exemplifying that 1950s "good capitalist resource" attitude that has fundamentally failed to adapt to a new, modern work environment.
