GOOD NEWS: The US government has announced that it will again offer free at-home Covid tests starting in late September.

You will be able to get 4 more free test kits sent through the mail.

One more: My favorite lines from the entire cnvention came from Michelle Obama (why is that not a surprise?)

I did a screenshot because the text won't fit.

"The affirmative action of generational wealth" was perfect.

Off topic software engineering rant

It’s a shame that a political party that claims to support press freedom uses the newsworthiness of its convention as a price-gouging opportunity, to the detriment of small and independent news outlets.

On this day in Anarchist History we remember the execution on Sacco and Vanzetti, two Italian-American Anarchist Immigrants who were killed by the state after a sham of a trial.

The fight to end US militarism is a long and hard one. But far more people than the left wing of the Democrats are ready for it. We need to build a broad and powerful movement, bigger than any candidate.

California drivers have functionally one choice for a digital license plate vendor. AB 3138 would hand that vendor more data, even though it has failed in the past to secure location data and to meet basic contractual obligations with a state agency. eff.org/deeplinks/2024/08/digi

The time has come: call your local comic shop and pre-order THE TOXIC AVENGER #1 and get in on the entirely new story we are telling.

"it would take between 44 and 104 years for new trees to absorb as much CO2 as the amount generated by #wood #bioenergy that displaces #coal."

“Our conclusion is [replacing coal with wood to generate electricity] actually makes #climate change worse”.

Do you see anarchism as more of an affirmative vision of what should be or a resistance to a status quo that shouldn't be?

Do you think of yourself mostly as anarchistic or not anarchistic?
