@fatboy I wonder why Techcrunch didn't also link the findings of fact against Microsoft as comparisons. Lose too much ad money? Maybe Techcrunch didn't want to pull in too many parallels and piss off its owner, Verizon.

The fact that Microsoft isn't included in the mix makes you wonder if they aren't manipulating the levers behind the scenes.

@fatboy Looks like they're just playing by the rules the US Govt established when it chose not to break up Microsoft and allowed AT&T to reform from it's parts.

Nothing will come of this under the present US Govt. Judging by the Obama administration, a Biden administration won't do much either. Progressives need to gain control.

I have a lot of trouble with focus, so once I gain focus I hate to lose it. According to Peopleware by DeMarco and Lister, lost focus is one of the biggest productivity wasters in knowledge work. That's why I never turn on notifications an my office computers. I also will always advocate for offices with doors. Instead of a standing desk, give me an isolation chamber desk please.

There's nothing funnier than an office chat program in an agile organization. Must actually be an "agile" organization. ;-)

I despise out of the office replies. What a time waster! I refuse to turn them on. What's the use of having a visible calendar if people are too lazy to look at it?

@lightweight Most law firms were using WordPerfect in those days, not Word. (Many on OS/2 as well.)

@lightweight Microsoft got pounded pretty good in Judge Jackson's court. It was the appeals court (after US elections switched presidency from Dem to GOP) that reduced Jackson's remedy to a slap on the wrist.
