Lunduke believes that real men do their best to not swear around women or children.

Lunduke believes that real men do not hit women or children. Ever. Under any circumstances.

Lunduke recognizes that some will take issue with that stance — Lunduke thinks that is weird.

@lunduke
One day I was in my parents farm with my young nephew helping to get up a bunch of cows. We had them all up except a couple, but as we got them headed the right direction, we saw the entire herd getting out again. I yelled, "Dadgumit" and my nephew looked at me and repeated "Dadgumit!"
I looked at him and said, You know, it's a good thing that I don't cuss.
He said, "yeah."

@jlcrawf Wouldn't that make "Dadgumit" a cuss? I mean what is the boundaries? I always considered a "cuss" a word used as or to evoke an emotional response instead of a rational. I worked with a lot of russians and they swore a lot, but sometimes would replace with a "nicer" version. So sometimes my kids hear me yell "BLIN" when some one cuts me off in traffic.

@lukedashjr Shrug. A real man doesn't hit a lady or a kid.

You can call it a fallacy if you want to... but I hold that it's true.

If I hear of a man hitting a kid (or a lady)? I think less of him. As a man.

@lunduke Real Men don't fall victim to the false notion that some words are somehow "bad".

Real Men don't try to tell other people what words they can or cannot use in public.

Real Men recognize that if it's okay to say "poop", it's okay to say "crap" and "shit" because Real Men are not hypocrites.

YisraelDov thinks that @lunduke is weird. YisraelDov likes weird.

YisraelDov thinks that people who talk about them selves in the 3rd person are much weirder.

@lunduke Apart from the searing part I completely agree. Phonetics are they and my loving intelligent rebellious grandpa loved using them to poke prickly assed people, cause he was like a child testing the boundaries and then loving with a shit eating grin.

However I really appreciate your lack of swearing and other more family friendly behaviours.

Also I hope you come back to the fediverse it was a happier place with all your tooting.
