@FiveElementNinja The only caveat is that this company seems to historically be slow at shipping things. That said, they did finally begin shipping to customers a week or two ago. I'd recommend checking out a Youtube review of the device. I pre-ordered one back in October, but am still waiting to receive it. I think orders should start going through more quickly at some point but I don't know when. I guess this just gives me more time to develop my game before it arrives.

@martijnbraam Which app is this?!? I just double checked the default camera App on my and it isn't that one. This app looks like it has way more features, so I'd love to know what it is and where to get it from.

@tschak One of these days I'm going to buy a . I've heard there has been an effort towards adding FujiNet to that device. It may take me a while, but some day I plan to join you guys there on one of those.

@GeopJr Pull to refresh is amazing! Also loving all the new settings. Once again, thanks for all of your hard work!

@peter I ordered an A-06 version of this back in October. Here's to hoping it ships sooner rather than later.

That said, please post about your experience using the CM4 variant, as I think your system will have better driver support than the A-06 variant. I was honestly torn between the two, but if they ever go about releasing a CM5, I'll probably buy an adapter and upgrade at that point.

The clockwork pi uConsole just arrived.

Not bad as it only left Hong Kong on Friday.

It's going to be fun building this later

@sprocket I guess that makes me the odd duck. I used to use odysee a fair amount. I think it's super important to have alternatives to Youtube which allow creators to monetize their content.

As far as the SEC goes, I really despise the organization. They expended all this effort to go after an alternative to Youtube, instead of of giving a hard look at FTX. Supposedly they are supposed to protect investors, however their actions seem to just be about continuing the status quo.

@TastyWheat @solicitor Since I just use it as a lightweight second computer (browsing, email, videos, indie games) I havent had any issues with its specs. With regards to memory specifically, I just created a larger than usual swap partition (of 8gb). With that in place I haven't ever experienced any issues even if I do have a ton of browser tabs open.

@solicitor I got a a few months back and I have been loving it. The CPU/GPU are a bit weak but the build quality of the system is fantastic. I would absolutely recommend this to others looking for a small, low cost Linux laptop:

@mntmn I don't really watch normal TV shows, but I could certainly recommend some anime which may scratch the itch:

* Steins Gate (sci-fi + time travel)
* Psycho Pass Season 1 (think minority report)
* Mushi-shi (basically a fantasy X-Files)
* Kino's Journey (fantasy, adventure, also reminds me of X-Files)
* Cyberpunk Edgerunners (I haven't personally watched this one yet but I've heard really great things about it from those who have).

Hope this helps.

@soller Ooof, you are making me feel guilty for getting rid of my pentium II system all those years ago. That said, I really liked the K 7 which followed it up... until I bricked the MB for it of course.

@JF @PINE64 Thanks for your hard work. I'm really looking forward to trying this out update.

MNT Reform 2023 refresh:
— 2x-3x performance with A311D module
— better mechanical Keyboard V3
— better Motherboard V2.5
— better battery protection
— steel Port Covers
still Open Hardware!

@frameworkcomputer Very cool. I think this is one of those areas where its importance is vastly understated.
For now this is only a charger for a laptop, but nowadays there are a number of mini PCs which can be powered via USB-C. Of all th hadware components I've had fail over the years, the most common were hard drives and power supplies. So this is a big step in the right direction of longer lived hardware.
Thanks for lpushing things forward!

@bart @linmob @joao @devrtz This is cool! I hadn't heard of this Simula project before. I'm really glad to hear that there were already some people working on something like this. I'll have to keep an eye on their progress going forward.

@soller That was an interesting read. Thanks for sharing.

@PublicLewdness @janvlug @purism I don't think it will. Suspend was already working reliably on the pinephone for quite some time now.
