Bad enough that Wired @willknight continues to call Llama 3 "open source", spreading Meta propaganda. Error is compounded when it's in the context of an article where at least one of the other models discussed actually *is* open source (taking Mistral's Apache 2 license statement at face value).

Visited the NC Department of Revenue in person; now feel like I've also attended a live taping of Severance.

Several years ago I was working on an open letter to Jimmy Fallon and the Tonight Show asking them to drop sponsorship for exactly these sorts of reasons: engadget.com/jon-stewart-says- -- comedians should be allies of the free software and open source movements.

Has anyone successfully used TransferWise/Wise's alternative to facial scanning/biometric data collection to set up an account with them? They say it can take longer but we've been waiting over a month since we sent email under the policy. Do they actually ever do this or is it just words in their policy?

Amazing idea, Discord, to email out notice about (real) changes to Terms of Service on...April 1. Nothing says you take privacy terms seriously better than that!
