I'm not writing an entire blog post about how stupid a US TikTok ban would be because this is all that needs to be said:

If the Chinese government is in your threat model, don’t install TikTok on your device. Otherwise, your actual problem is surveillance capitalism.

After several months of hard work, it's a good feeling to be able to say our @fdroidorg board of directors is officially chartered and running, and finally with an official legal entity through Dutch stichting (foundation) Commons Conservancy.

New from IFTF: we have a Grants Administration Committee!

IFTF is exploring the possibility of disbursing #grants for small projects related to #InteractiveFiction. We continue to explore ways to foster and support the ecosystem !

No concrete details/timeline right now but the committee hashing out details/processes for our first grant disbursement. We'll need applications, and independent advisors to help with the selection. Keep watching this space for more details!

So what’s the best way to search for/find accounts on the broadest possible set of fediverse servers? I’m considering criticizing an “open” organization for not being here yet, but I realize it’s actually very hard to know for certain if they do/don’t have an account.
