The April 2024 issue of Pen World, the journal of #fountainpen writing, is here -- and we are in it!

just realized my inbox is full of unread articles about decluttering :(

Bad enough that Wired @willknight continues to call Llama 3 "open source", spreading Meta propaganda. Error is compounded when it's in the context of an article where at least one of the other models discussed actually *is* open source (taking Mistral's Apache 2 license statement at face value).

Today's thing I hate about computers now is the in-browser JavaScript "windows" that can't (easily) be resized. Pretty fun scrolling through a big list of items when you can only see 1 line at a time in the "window".

I think perhaps we have enough with "Nebula" in the name.

Finished "Hello, the Roses" by Mei-mei Berssenbrugge. Starting "The Rupture Tense" by Jenny Xie. Have not read her before, except for one poem in the NYT magazine.

@evan Having lived in 3/4, including Pacific, I can't even muster an argument for Pacific. They might as well rename it the "You still have some hours left in your day so you can finish this thing we on the East failed to finish" timezone. Also football starts too early.

Mountain is the happy medium.
