Spent a good part of the day fixing issues with my proximity sensor. Sorry but I just don't think "sensor:modalias:of:Nlight-sensorT*Csensortek,stk3311:*" is a reasonable syntax. Anyway, it works now.

Folks, we still need a few more volunteers to help us with #FOSSY next week - who wants to spend a little time hanging at the rego desk? Volunteer tickets are free (though of course anyone can also email us if the lowest level is too much...)

@evan I went more city than country, but really my answer is either city or country, just not in-between.

@iank Despite the fact that I feel like I spend 50% of my life shaving yaks, I still have so many bad habits/routines like this. Freedom -1, the freedom to be extremely inefficient?

For some reason I'm proud of myself that I've started consistently shutting down the computer by clicking the shutdown icon instead of switching to the terminal and typing "sudo shutdown -h now".

One week until FOSSY! Be sure to register this week so we have an accurate head count for lunch and get your fancy printed badge (see blog post!). We're so thankful to our track organizers, speakers, sponsors, volunteers and community members who have helped us put this together ❤️

The main topic on social media today seems to be social media.

I'm learning too late that I could've stacked the Pacific Northwest Pen Show this weekend (pnwpenshow.com/) and (2023.fossy.us) afterward to make for a doubly awesome week in Portland. Only FOSSY this year, but next year, hopefully both!

Guilty as charged.

What’s your procrastination style? See them all: nyer.cm/0u83KQO

@sjvn same (with a little fear of failure mixed in). The house is never cleaner than when I have a deadline.

Me posting the same dumb joke to Threads, Twitter, Bluesky, and Mastodon

Getting ready for #FOSSY: Great speakers from #Apereo and the broader #HigherEd, #EdTech, and #OpenSource communities.

Sessions on #OSS, #OER, #OpenEducation, #OpenAccess, #OpenHardware, and more.

Thank you @conservancy and staff for all your hard work and support!!!

Schedule and registration at. 2023.fossy.us/

#FOSSY organized by @conservancy begins next week in Portland, Oregon, and there is an "AArch64/ARM64 Servers and Open Source - The Who, What, Why, and How" track on Thursday, July 13th

@luis_in_brief Yeah I've been suspecting these moves relate to reducing responsibility/accountability/friction for moderation (possibly by confusing the issue).
