@shiftphones, a German phone company producing ethically sourced smartphones with a focus on repairability is now on Mastodon! They shipped #postmarketOS some phones to help develop mainline Linux support and get our system running well on it and so they are awesome in my book 😉

Go say hi and welcome them to the fediverse!

Also the upstream developers of the package (CERN) fixed the issue after it was forwarded from to them:

Another month, another bill; if you find #NixNet's services useful, please consider helping me out with hosting costs :blobfoxheart:

After seeing these :

aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git

aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git

Which basically downloads a DEB package, extracts the binaries and moves them to the correct places under /usr

I wonder: How many AUR packages do the same, and just get the deb package to install it in ?

@aurocha

Ya, eu ja apanhei na net utilizadores de Arch a queixarem-se de que: Manjaro não é Arch por causa dessas modificações.

I use Debian btw :)

A idea que tenho é que o Endevour é uma metadistro, semelhante ao manjaro.
Quais as principais diferenças com manjaro

If you make a lib that is useful and it is stabilized, the distro packagers will package it.

@absolucy

But if distros ship unstable software so that app developers can use the latest thing in their apps it's the users that will notice it the most when there are bugs. Distribution developers (with maybe the exception of a few special distros) have the job of delivering a stable system to the end user. After that the end user can do whatever he wants with that system. Not of making end users suffer.

We have a deal on the common charger! 🇪🇺

This means more savings for EU consumers and less waste for the planet:

🔌 mobile phones, tablets, cameras… will all use USB type C
🔌 harmonised fast-charging technology
🔌 unbundling of sale of chargers

#SingleMarket #DigitalEU

I don't want tech to be "magic". I want it to be transparent and understood.
