Look at the dates on the pictures you posted. She donated her half billion in 2021. With the timing, it seems more likely that she funded the research than that they are cancelling because of her donation.

Today marks four years since I ordered my Librem 5. I am still excited about it, though simewhat disheartened that it has taken this long. Hoping to see it soon.

Lying propagandist does not equal terrorist.
The only groups that I have seen him oppose are BLM and Antifa. The two groups that are in actuality terrorist groups. And by terrorist groups, I mean that they are terrorizing communities by setting businesses on fire and physically assaulting people, not just using mean words.

I don't disagree, but I am just saying that most people are pushed into purchasing a new phone, often without realizing that they are being pushed.

Also, it has been shown that after two years, many of the manufacterers use updates to purposefully slow the phone down, to make them harder to use.

For most people, a new smartphone has a new battery that will last more than a day, because if their phone is more than four years old without a replacable battery, the battery is dying.

For those that know me and see me everyday, it is obvious that I don't spend any hours at the gym, but for those that do, I don't think that there is anything wrong with them staying in shape.
While I do, only drive 4-wheel drive vehicles, mine aren't super jacked up, it's not really my style, but I do think that jacked up trucks are cool and I don't begrudge anyone that wants to spend their own time and money on their own vehicles how they want to spend it.

@tuxdevices Iran into this for the first time on Friday as well. I used to like HP printers, but a company that treats its customers that way should not get a dime ever again.

@gardiner_bryant But even in that situation, if you do not live within walking distance to a train station or bus stop, it is not practical. For me, I live three miles outside of town on a very rural road. If they did run a bus to my house, with as few people that live on my road, if they ran the bus more than once or twice a day, it would end up being more expensive and less enviromentally friendly than if everyone drove themselves.

I live 30 miles from where I work. There are no trains or buses that I could take to get to the office.
I also volunteer as a teacher at a local private school on my lunch hour, that is another 12 mile one way commute.
There is absolutely no way that public transport would accomodate me.

Public transit may be the best method in cities, but in more rural areas, people need automobiles.
