@Raspberry_Pi@raspberrypi.social Very not cool. Tech should liberate people, not surveil them.

When people travel to the past, they worry about radically changing the present by doing something small.

Few people think that they can radically change the future by doing something small in the present.

This is the only real time travel paradox.

End of year annual donations renewed for organizations fighting for tech that liberates instead of oppresses us.

Electronic Frontier Foundation / eff.org/

European Digital Rights / @edri

Fight for the Future / @team

Free Software Foundation Europe / @fsfe

Internet Security Research Group / Let’s Encrypt letsencrypt.org/

Mozilla / mozilla.org/

NOYB / @noybeu

I hope all of these organizations join the fediverse by the end of 2023.

A year from now, I hope…

• for the pandemic to be over—for real, not the “collectively pretend it’s over” mode society currently is in

• to operate a “ramen profitable” business of my own

• to have gained at least 5 kg muscle

• to have had my mental healthcare needs met

• to have finished my home remodel

@objectivecosta Stockholms stad offered an "intensive studies in Swedish" program specifically for software engineers a year ago.

It offers an interesting program connecting entrepreneurs to advisors. foretagsservice.stockholm/star

If I try to sign in, it just says, “Sorry, you don't live in Stockholms stad.”

Stockholms stad (city) has so many wonderful programs inaccessible to Stockholms län (county) residents.

Being on the Nacka side of a bridge to Södermalm excludes me from startup and language programs I would like to participate in.

@seldo Same. The only way I sometimes remember is "strINg" because for…in iterates over object strINg properties.

@trev Thanks! Yes, the tab preferences has a list of recently tossed tabs. The tossed tabs stay in the tossed list for the duration of an extra toss, so they have to get tossed twice.

Too many browser tabs?

Let go of what you’ve already forgotten and never prioritized. If it was actually important, you would have taken action.

Tab Tosser can help.

@e_urq Years ago, I noticed a similar edit history of the Swedish Democrats page on Wikipedia. Several people were trying to remove the party’s origin as a Neo-Nazi party in Sweden.

Why don’t year-end summaries about the economy mention this year’s record high corporate profits, unprecedented levels of corporate concentration, highest-ever CEO pay, or record levels of corporate political contributions in a midterm election?
