We passed the €30,000 threshold on the Godot Development Fund today! 🎉
Thanks everyone for your support! 💙
Our current goal is to reach 50k as soon as possible, to secure the current payroll, and enable us to add a couple more developers to the team.
DebConf23 starts today! Most of the talks are streamed online. Watch out this space for our schedule: https://debconf23.debconf.org/schedule/ . Live talks can be watched by clicking on the venue links in schedule. #debian #debconf #debconf23 #freesoftware #dc23 #kochi #debconfkochi #debianindia
@JonBaker Don't forget the sultry Lovelocks.
"We estimate we can sell up to 80% of a individual's visual field before inducing seizures."
@vincent I love waydroid on my Librem 5 but can't say that it runs at native speed without ample caching, after which it smoothens out significantly. Did you tweak your setup to lower memory overhead?
Want a nice _and_ reliable #calendar application for #GNOME and #Linux desktops (& #mobile!) in general, based on the @EvolutionGnome data server?
Know some #C #programming and looking for a well-scoped challenge to get your feet wet and put those skills to use in #opensource?
#GNOMECalendar could really use your help to write unit tests, so that we can use #TestDrivenDevelopment #TDD #CI for #refactoring all timezones-related code and make it reliable. Now is the time!

And use double-quotes if you need to allow variable expansion.
Example:
sed -i "s|old str ${FOO}|new str ${BAR}|g" input.txt
I have to agree to waive my right to a jury trial in order to order a pizza.
What the heck?!
People, READ YOUR BLOODY AGREEMENTS. *Please*. They're binding legal documents. Literally all I do is search for the words "waive," "binding," and "arbitration." If I see those, I say no.
It's just not that hard.

Looks like phones with hardware kill-switches running a fully open-source OS will become increasingly popular here! 😢

The downsides of being frugal.
The #OpenStreetMap Foundation spends, even with a slightly more ambitious budget this year than previously, less than %1 of what WMF/Wikipedia does, but is struggling to make ends meet.
There is no threat a la the infamous Wikipedia ads that the project will shut down, but without the funds activities will have to be cut back significantly.
If you consider OSM valuable consider https://supporting.openstreetmap.org/
With a few small bumps, managed to get the #Librem5 booting into a #Mobian installer, and installed with an encrypted rootfs!
So far, only have #Dino configured, but that is enough for this to be a hugely useful communications device, especially with #JMPchat to connect up to telephony networks!
Love the kill switches for cellular modem, wifi/bluetooth and camera/mic!
This is my first #Debian #Trixie based computer, as there may be issues with the now-stable #Bookworm on this hardware.
This can't end well. I've already sent emails to our exec and data security departments about this.

@luism Sounds correct albeit frustrating. I imagine it would be trivial to add a column or two to the sizing chart printed on the footwear since it already lists the sizes for various regions, but I would think an X by Y mm measurement standard could cover most cases. All genders have varying arches, widths, calf circumferences, etc, and there are already so many sizing disparities between manufacturers. Maybe this allows for greater QA tolerances to reduce returned merchandise?
To help us raise more funds for our development efforts, we are launching a new line of merchandise for Mastodon including t-shirts, mugs, enamel pins, and stickers.
So I posted a little MR tonight...

It only has 834 commits across 14 months. 😅
