@cybette @vattuvarg https://youtu.be/KFCRSHwgIfs luckily my state Rhode Island has hundreds of miles of bike paths i ride year round too never had a drivers license i bike every where i go and ride the bus on extremely bad days but ride everywhere even the market to buy food etc etc i imported a bike from the netherlands and i love it.

@jameshjacksonjr Indeed, my current e-ink book reader cost 120€ (Vivlio Touch Lux 5) and has basically the half of PineNote specs. It was considered as an expensive model according to some reviews I've read at that time.
Depending of the first review, I could be interested by the PineNote. 😊

@jameshjacksonjr I put my smartwatch in a drawer a few months ago and went back to an analog watch and it was amazing the effect the smartwatch had on my brain. I'm much more peaceful now, but it took a few weeks to fix all the impulses my smartwatch trained into me.
Not too long ago, phones were attached to the wall, TVs weighed as much as refrigerators and computers rivaled minivans in size. Then everything changed…
Screens became untethered. Computers went pocket-sized. All the world’s information instantly at our fingertips. Suddenly, life as we knew it wasn’t being lived so much as it was being shared, liked, ‘grammed, and tweeted. The very devices promising to connect us made us feel more isolated, as we began living furtherapart in the digital world.
It’s hard to remember the last time we enjoyed a calm moment of solitude without the compulsion to reach for our phone.
Technology was supposed to give us more free time, but it seems the opposite happened
