Have there been public statements by #Purism or #Pine64 in relation to the #COVID19apps https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/COVID-19_apps ?

People who are forced by their governments to install a COVID-19 privacy-violating app (aka "privacy-preserving") may prefer to install these on a #Librem5 / #PinePhone. Installing the app would be less risky with a hardware bluetooth kill switch (Librem5) or at least a software bluetooth kill switch, rather than with a GAFAM-updated-OS.

Waiting for my pinephone is shit haha damnit I want to play with this thing now.

There are several OS options at this point with functioning calls, texting, and cell data. :)

@mark @PINE64 oh I am definitely obeserving it but if I am not mistaken, currently there is no OS which covers all oft the basic functionality (calls, texting etc.) and provides a decent battery life. Librem 5 seems more fleshed out in that regard.

But the PinePhone is also in my watch list :)

Unfortunately, I still have orders from last month stuck in the same status with no signs of actually moving across the Pacific.

TIL the biggest bookstore chain in Taiwan has had a 24-hour location since 1999 & has vowed to always have one. I admire how seriously they take their love of reading & sharing of information in Asia.

I set up a Fosstodon account and noticed that there isn't an option to re-upload my toots and other data from this tarball, only a subset of my data (which I actually need to export as the CSV). Am I missing something? Would hate to lose out on all my posts.
