Readability. I want EU to set requirements on food and more packages. Font, font size, font colour, background colour etc are like the worst web site for many products when it comes to ingridients and other facts. #eupol

@zaivala If you say so! I must admit I do not really know him. I've heard his name, heard some other think he is a good choice and I know I've heard about his politics but I cannot remember the details. So I rest my case to have an opionion of my own for the moment.

@kallekn Politiskt och demokratiskt, ja. Nog vore en traditionell pressrelease eller någon egen plats varit önskvärd. Men om jag tänker pragmatiskt, så är (?) X något av de facto-standard särskilt i USA för politik och media.

@breizh Thank you for your suggestion. Quick reading, I don't think it fits to my idea this time. My need is to have a complete offline copy (snapshot) of website(s), to browse the site locally on my machine as if I was using the online version. Thanks for your response!

@wydow Thank you for the suggestion, I've not heard of it before. To the description, it seems not be best fit for the use case I'm thinking about. My use is an offline copy of a complete website, with its navigation and all. I have tested one other suggestion, HTTrack, and for my trial it worked well, but maybe other tools may work better on some sites, to be explored further. Thanks for your suggestion!

@pinganini If you go the first message in this thread ("I want to download..."), and start from there, you can find several answers. The reason you do not see them directly is likely because my entry you respond to was an entry I wrote in response to my first entry, not to the last in the thread. Bu go up and start from the first one and you should be able to see answers.

@tsvenson Och apropå Mastodon, helt annat ämne, så slängde jag ut en mjukvarufråga här tidigare idag om tips för verktyg/metod att ladda hem en webbsajt för att ha den offline, för Linux och helst öppen källkod. På en timme hade jag fått 5+ svar, konkreta förslag eller resonerande, från främst okända människor. Suveränt.

@tsvenson Ja, jag har däremot kollat lite, men det räcker nu för mig för idag. Jag har all fakta och känner inte att jag behöver all spekulation om allt i media. Och får bra överblick av det viktiga här, håller med dig!

@samuel @rasmusfleischer @minata Det är kanske något Rasmus känner till bättre. Det jag vet är att FLAC är komprimerat, men förlustfritt vilket mp3 inte är. Så skulle jag nu tex köpa musik på bandcamp, då skulle jag helst spara FLAC till datorn men möjligen konvertera till mp3 om jag överför till mobilen. (När jag laddar upp poddavsnitt till Hacker Public Radio så är det FLAC som gäller, men sedan finns den nerladdningsbar i flera format inkl mp3 hos Internet Archive).
