My #Librem5 had been delivered with a Redpine RS9116 M.2 Key E card for #Bluetooth and #Wifi.
I already owned two devices I wanted to use with my Librem5:
a bluetooth mouse to be used alongside with my nexdock360
a high quality noise canceling bluetooth headset I use for phone calls and sometimes to listen to music
Both didn't work well: the mouse wouldn't connect (Bluetooth LE only) and the headset connection was unreliable with a lot of stutter.
In newer Librem5s the SparkLAN WNFB-266AXI card is used for Bluetooth/Wifi. I exchanged the card to find out whether this would improve the situation and it did.
Both devices connect now, most of the stutter while listening to music is gone, the headset works for calls (but unusable due to bad quality) and my mouse connects and works fine.
@purism@librem.one wrote a blog post about the new card and made it available on their shop.
P.D. If ever a small golden pin falls out of your Librem5 after you opened it read this forum post.
@mailbox_org@mastodon.social @protonmail i think the primary problem is if you fail to pay the subscription on your account you will loose access to your emails, so who owns the data in that situation, i am not sure another service solves this problem? protonmail customer support to their credit is fantastic, proton vpn never was very reliable and can't be used with openvpn, i think, so not cross platform, never used the bridge plus you have to pay $$

So I've been building a 100% analog polyphonic synthesizer with an unique twist. To use only vacuum tube era technology from the 1930s.
Over 300 neon gas diodes create the sound you hear. Pretty awesome for technology from 100 years ago.
Still a work-in-progress, but I wanted to post a video of it with the innards spread out across the workbench. : }
I call it the "Neon String Machine"
@linmob i think a good case bumper might be one that simply replaces the rear shell back with a back that has a protruding round edge and bumps on the back surface. Also more weight on the back ensures its more likely to fall on the back versus the front screen.

I'd really like to thank jenneron[1] for their contributions to #postmarketOS! 🎉
They have been the 2nd highest committer to pmOS over the past 6 months. Recent contributions include adding new devices, simplifying the boot process for many devices, and adding new ways to support booting on others.
They've also added something like 26(!!!) new device ports since they began contributing to pmOS 🤯
@craftyguy @purism not to mention offering replacement arts allows Purism to offer upgraded components, or components with newest bioses preflashed

@dansup i havent used it yet but check Flickr for the best image navigation in an app using touch input that i have ever seen including zoom and double tap to like regardless of zoom level or whether it is an image or video (which instagram cant figure out correctly)
@bpreneel thats why all public citizen data should be encrypted so it doesnt matter if it is stolen if the thief doesnt have the keys.
@NeilEvansRocks agreed its free advertisement for twitter and Musk, even bad news is good news as far as more eyeballs on the platform are concerned and he knows how to stirr them up
@andrewstroehlein i think the focus should be on why they were banned and as musk indicated these are 7 day temporary suspensions not bans. Not that i agree, posting a link to the musk jet tracker isnt violating twitter policy i would argue since the jet is not a private person or entity and because all registered jets operating in airspace can be tracked (with some effort) and it is public information. Platform bans arent the problem, lack of redress is.
@joeycastillo predictions of untimely social media platform declines or demises are difficult to predict in practice, for example myspace is still around, Ello an awesome Facebook/Instagram/Etcy platform while promising has not made any noticable dent- but also its still around 8years later
