Funny you should say that. Manjaro with KDE Plasma is not the default distro for the PBP. I'm using Manjaro XCFE because it is lighter, it works well but I'm not sold quite yet.

I live in Iqaluit, Nunavut!
Maybe my own bias peaked out there, having no kids and a pretty chilled life, I miss camping and hiking. I also miss road trips, there's maybe 10Kms from one end of Iqaluit to the other.
Full disclosure I'm still onboard for a Yoga retreat in Costa Rica now and then :P
That makes sense, kind of a pain in the butt type of situation.
Did you find a suitable solution?

Nova Scotia has been pretty cavalier about restricting movement all year. You'd think that despite the travel bubble they would have kept track of people entering and leaving the province but no. It was basically free passage between NS and NB.
Maybe they're just not capable of doing any more?
I mean, their handling of the attacks on the Mi'kmaq less than stellar. As we've seen in the US, an ineffectual government can rapidly lose control of a pandemic.

My point is this, is going to a beach in Mexico a "need" as much as it is a want for change and we lack the imagination to escape anywhere but in resort towns?
Not that it would help all that much in a pandemic but maybe if people were creative and incentivized we could achieve the same escapism while staying within our borders.

One question comes to mind, based on personal experience.
Is it so much about escaping Canada as it is about escaping ones routine?
Living in the Arctic, I find myself regularly wanting to go down "south" I.E. Montréal or any southern Canadian location. I also don't know a lot of people from here who crave the colloquial south, Cuba and the likes, Southern Canada serves our needs really well.
Secure software supply chain matters, even on Linux. This @arstechnicabot article describes a Remote Access Trojan hidden inside cryptocurrency tools.

I just reread the original toot and I see now that a Pi would probably be overkill. Why the wireless requirement? Seems that an old school wired one could be a good and reliable starting point. You could then use the internals and make/print a sturdy enclosure.
I guess you could take a normal "cheap" wireless one and rebuild it with a better antenna and casing too
There's probably a Pi for that. Although I can see why a purpose built device would be easier to use.

I dunno how the real olden days were exactly but it seems that for most of my lifetime politics have been more about blaming others than fixing anything. We have to have been better at things in the past, because in the current climate we would have never achieved anything of what we have.
You may have a point there. How's the whole Wexit thing going?
