Use OsmAnd instead of Google Maps. This could change your life drastically, depending on your travel patterns. It also is a good way to get you involved/invested into openstreetmap (basically the wikipedia of maps).

What software does it run?
Pre-installed apps can have privileged custom permissions that let them operate outside the Android security model

Wondering what the future of the internet will look like? Here it is, from one of the people helping to build it...

Synopsis: Despite being otherwise well-accomplished: Lady blunt's marital struggles are paralled by her struggles to learn the violin.
Ending: she finally reacquires all of the arabian horses, and leans back in a chair, with the discontented Stradivarius (violin) staring back at her.

I quit reading half-way thru. I don't even care about today's celebrity-gossip... maybe if I had paid more attention in literature class, this would be of interest.
@hellcp
I'm upset at myself now...

She should move production to Bangladesh, where labor is only 40 cents per hour! #marketeconomics #freemarket
Looks like the known and loved video content creators are finally discovering LBRY!
@stefanmolyneux is now on LBRY too!
For those unfamiliar with LBRY, it's a 100% decentralized, censorship resistant, video sharing platform. You can't get censored, shadow-banned, deleted, or demonetized!
Here's more:

I know I push people towards this service, so I probably look like I'm associated with them somehow. I am NOT. I'm pushing for decentralization of everything and have been following LBRY's development for a couple of years, waiting for them to cross that line of capabilities where I consider them a viable platform. They've recently added the last piece and now they're the HOLY GRAIL of video sharing (technology wise). It's up to US to add the final piece... MORE CONTENT and MORE VIEWERS!

On top of that, mastodon is AGPL-licensed. They would have to literally rewrite every line of code or pay off over 100 developers before they could make it proprietary...

I like this positive attitude. When we start, might I recommend https://sites.google.com/site/nestle1904/ as a starting base NT text?
@malanrich @masterofthetiger@theres.life
But another issue would be licensing: do we use creative commons share alike/gpl copyleft to protect it, or do we go full public-domain/mit to allow more freedom. Does "Using the Bible for any purpose" include making copyrighted variations of it?
@masterofthetiger@theres.life
Is not the worker worth his pay? Copyright allows this kind of work to continue. Nestle-Aland (whose Editio Critica Maior (Greek NT) has been used to translate the Bible for over a hundred years) defends copyright:
https://www.nestle-aland.com/en/extra-navigation/licensing-policy/
What's nice is that copyright can expire (arguably after too long).
These attempts to accurately proliferate God's word should be commended, and allowed to profit.
@Fusioncow
😃
John 7:53-8:11 is one of two passages still appearing in modern bibles which shouln't be there: it wasn't part of John's original gospel. However, John 5:14 includes a similar command: "Don't sin any more, lest anything worse happen to you." Ephesians 2 teaches clearly that God's gift of grace saved us who were children of wrath, dead in transgressions. The slave to sin doesn't hear God (John 8:31-47). Freedom to reject sin is granted by God's grace.
@Fusioncow
Great to meet you fusioncow!
I did a double-take at the second sentence, assuming there was a typo. Only by the power of the Son and the Spirit can man act completely without sin. (Romans 8:7-9) (John 8:34-35)

Many people already have email addresses. It's easy to sign up for an email list. Though sending bulk email usually requires having a trustworthy smtp server so you don't go straight to spam.
Happy to meet you wherever you are on your journey (software or spiritual)
