There's this technique conservative commentators use to boost their reach by saying stuff that's just obviously wrong or super racist, with the intent of people screenshotting/linking their content to dunk on it, inadvertently giving them free marketing. I've always wondered if there was a way to abuse this mechanic without being an awful person, and I think I found it. You just make casual comments about how Elon Musk isn't a actually a genius, then all the Elon simps come and boost your content for free.

I'm starting to believe the rumors that Tesla and SpaceX have management teams whose job it is to basically manage him and find creative ways to avoid implementing his stupid ideas. There is simply no way this guy was ever a competent CEO.

I'm doing a lot of research on text input devices for people with chronic joint pain and #arthritis. This is selfish. I'm one of those people.

I'll be documenting my findings along the way.

In #Canada, #JustinTrudeau caved to Donald Trump and retroactively expanded copyright terms by 20 years, as part of #USMCA, the successor to #NAFTA. Trudeau ignored teachers, professors, librarians and the Minister of Justice, who said that copyright extension should require "a modest registration requirement" - so 20 years of copyright will be tacked onto all works, including those with no owners:

Rosalind Franklin’s research was crucial to discovering DNA’s double helix structure 🧬 but it was James Watson & Francis Crick who received the credit & Nobel Prize.

Unknown to Franklin, the pair saw her unpublished data & X-ray diffraction images, inspiring their famous model. They never acknowledged her contribution until after her death.
