@b0rk for me it's usually like this:

First I do "git pull" (without arguments) to get the latest stuff.

Then I make local changes and test them and mess around with the code in other ways, locally.

Then, before doing commit, I do "git pull" again (again without arguments). This is because I want to avoid trouble as much as possible in case someone else made changes in the meantime.

Then I do "git add" and "git commit" a few times.

Then I do "git push" (without arguments)

I'm using a #Librem5 myself, running #pureos which is based on #debian -- I'm not going back to either Android or iOS. Alternatives do exist, and they are getting better all the time!

@linmob if you are blocked in some way then I think you should be able to find out the specific reason, for example it might turn out that your instance is on some blocklist somewhere, then you can ask whoever is in charge of that list why they have listed your instance. Then hopefully they will find it was a bug in their system and they will fix it and you will be unblocked.

(imo there is way too much blocking going on, it's bad. but it is how it is, we have to deal with it)
