At a kids' football cup recently I heard players mentioning the "brexit tackle", and "doing a brexit", while they were talking about one of the games they just played. As I understand it, by "doing a brexit" in this context they mean to throw yourself wildly against an opponent with complete disregard for the safety of both yourself and the opponent, also not caring about the ball or winning the game. I find it hopeful that the kids already have such deep understanding of European politics. 😁
@itsfoss it's that time when I found a bug and fixed it, and even got the fix accepted upstream. My one and only commit, removing one line of code! 😆 https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=3cac9104bea41099cf622091f0c0538bcb19050d
@docRekd then get a smartphone for which #LinuxMobile works, or help making it work for the phone you have. Don't let Google own you. Be free, and help others be free!
@lunareclipse @mcc I think that if there is a bank that requires Android, then that is a problem with that bank, its customers should request the bank to provide its services based on standards, not locked to certain operating systems. The bank should not decide which operating system you use. If banks behave like that, then those banks need to change. If you are the customer of such a bank, then tell them. "The customer is always right." 🙂
Anonymity is important.
This is a piece of news from Swedish public service radio today, about an org. protecting children's rights, it's called BRIS meaning "the rights of children in society". BRIS have received an increasing number of phone calls from children talking about crime, like kids being pressured by criminal gangs and such. They say that phone call anonymity is important for kids to dare to make the call.

Anonymity is important to reduce crime in society.
> failing to take steps to prevent
> criminal use of Telegram
Looking forward to further arrests, like knife manufacturers being arrested for failure to prevent criminal use of knives, and car manufacturers being arrested for failure to prevent criminal use of cars. Oh wait, I'm pretty sure criminals also eat food, then we should arrest food producers as well, they should no longer get away with aiding criminals in this way. Plenty of people to arrest in this brave new world!
> I wish Android were actually open source
Why not leave Android behind and move over to #LinuxMobile with #phosh where you are free from Google? It's a breath of fresh air, already works great and gets better all the time. Easy to rebuild from source.
@paoloredaelli I guess they can decide whataver they want on work phones of their own employees, but it does seem silly.
> Telegram is a “safe haven for
> hackers, cybercriminals, and
> drug dealers,”
If the municipality has employees who are cybercriminals and drug dealers, then maybe they should stop hiring criminals.
I think banning something because "it can be used by criminals" is stupid, generally. Criminals breathe air, so air should be bammed? Criminals eat food, so food is bad too?
