I guess the USA is now close to being a dictatorship. Or is there still some doubt about that? Any signs that US democracy could survive?

Got this one for a couple of bucks.
It is in a very non-working condition, basically nothing electrical is working.
The only thing left is a Cathode-ray tube and some speakers - the rest was thrown out long time ago.
So, I need some tips from #fediverse
What display-panel should I put in this one?
I am thinking, of reusing a raspberry pi and make it some sort of "media station" if possible. But first do I need to make the display functional.

@samuel jag är lite orolig att det kanske hänger ihop så här: den svenska regeringen är, även om SD inte formellt ingår i regeringen, i praktiken i mångt och mycket styrd av SD. Regeringen gör nästan alltid som SD vill. I detta fall handlar det om en journalist, och SD gillar inte journalister. Än värre blir det av att det gäller en ETC-journalist. SD vill troligen inte att regeringen gör särskilt mycket för att hjälpa Medin, och regeringen lyder SD. 😕
@MCDuncanLab nice! It sounds in some ways similar to wildlife around where I live (near Stockholm), we have herons and beavers for example, but turtles don't exist here I think. Or if they do then I've never seen them. (I really hope I didn't run anyone over with my bike 🙂 )

Bra att han säger det, men ett rätt stort problem för L nu är att de har ju visat att de inte är att lita på när det gäller värdegrundsfrågorna. Lite grejen med värdegrund tänker jag är att det är just en värdegrund, alltså det är en grund man står på, det är inget man plötsligt överger och sen eventuellt tar tillbaka senare.

@waspfactory ja det tror jag, men jag har inte använt det själv på det sättet så lita inte för mycket på mig där 🙂
Men jag tror de är tänkta att fungera så, alltså man kan sätta upp det så att en viss mapp ska synkas och man behöver sen inte göra något särskilt för att säga till varje gång det ska synkas utan det sker ändå, som att den automatiskt kollar var 5e minut om något ändrats, eller liknande.

I was hoping I wouldn't have to do the "the police are not your friends" talk this early to my kids.
Does Sweden have a right to silence? When can my kids simply walk away from a police officer who wants to ask them questions?
I chose to move to Sweden in part because I enjoyed not being watched police surveillance cameras (big minus for the UK).
Now they are setting up recording cameras on the main square. I don't know what they record, or my rights to object or delete data.
