@noelreports Pope unfortunately doesn't understand Russia. Any peace that Russia willingly agrees to is only an interlude aimed at allowing Russia to re-arm and attack again. To achieve more stable peace, Russia must be in the losing position and the sanctions must be kept. Even that is not a guarantee of a long-term peace. The only way to guarantee a long-term peace is for Russia to stop being a colonialist and imperialist dictatorship.
@kevinmirsky @jonny Another good source of fakes is Obvious Plant. I'm always amazed at how many people believe their products are real toys.
@itsfoss For Android, there's Calendula. It's open-source and useful, though it has minor bugs. It has a feature where you can add medicines from an official database, but the database only covers one or two countries (Spain I think?). You can even scan the medicine barcode instead of searching for it in the database, but as I live in a different country, this didn't work.
@nazokiyoubinbou @itsfoss I'm not into AI, but it seems like the weights are available for download: https://github.com/google-deepmind/gemma#downloading-the-models
@itsfoss Wake me up when we have some cool apps using local, on-device AI.
@openstreetmap Isn't this an anti-feature? If someone keeps bothering you without a good reason, tell them to stop. If they don't stop, report them.
@El_Indifferente @noelreports The nukes don't belong to Belarus, they are only stationed there. Belarus can't use them on their own, only Russia can fire them. It's like US nuclear sharing, which stations nukes for example in Turkey.
@itsfoss So it's only about public posts? Then surely we all realize that every single thing we publicly post online will be scraped, archived, and analyzed mercilessly, whether on Reddit, on Mastodon or anywhere else.
@dixf @noelreports I believe "polygon" refers to a military training area, so it's probably about Ukraine's bombing of a Russian military training area from few days ago.
@noelreports I hope there are way more pilots in the pipeline.
@noelreports It's a good thing. As soon as the casualty ratio stops being favorable, Ukrainians should retreat to better positions. The last thing Ukraine needs is another Bakhmut. The purpose of defense is not to get shredded in a valiant last stand, but to deal so much damage to the enemy that they become vulnerable to counterattacks.
@littletree @noelreports By this logic, neutral Portugal and Axis-allied Hungary also got war and genocide reparations from Germany.
@amayer @noelreports Reportedly, it was taken in Skrydstrup air base in Denmark and the Ukrainian markings on the plane are photoshopped. However the pilot is likely real and Ukraine is slated to receive F-16s relatively soon.
@openstreetmap Sounds significant. Hope it will have positive impact both on OSM and its users.
@itsfoss "open platform that looks similar to Twitter"
You mean the one we are posting on right now? The one called Mastodon? This one?
@Walter8100000 @noelreports I think that's why this oil has not been sanctioned. It's intentional, because Russia is selling it almost at cost, while India sees almost all of the profit. This way the West still has relatively cheap oil, while denying Russia almost all of the oil money. Eat your cake and keep it too.
@Edizionilazio @noelreports They are flying drones: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HESA_Shahed_136
@auschwitzmuseum And to think that "lustig" means funny, happy...
@itsfoss It's also available in ls replacements, eza ( https://github.com/eza-community/eza ) and lsd ( https://github.com/lsd-rs/lsd ).
eza --hyperlink
lsd --hyperlink=always
@noelreports Was the money used to manufacture them for the specific purpose of fighting or purchase them off the shelf from some civilian FPV company?
