@dideldum @itsfoss Privacy preserving attribution does preserve privacy. It just should have been explained better inside Firefox itself (as opposed to being described on a blog) and it should have been opt-in rather than opt-out.

It's about achieving attribution without tracking users. Ad companies claim it can't be done and therefore they should be allowed to track users. Mozilla shows it can be done and therefore tracking should be illegal.

It's your call. You can try it and if it's too annoying then just use Brave (or Firefox with maxed anti-tracking settings and uBlock Origin).

@pluszysta Najgorsze, że jeśli twórca wrzuca filmiki na kilka platform naraz, to zazwyczaj używa tej samej miniaturki, nawet jeśli na niektórych platformach jest ona zbędna i nie wpływa na rekomendacje. W ten sposób YouTube zaraża tym rakiem inne platformy.

@eff You own digital copies if they are free software. With proprietary licenses it's more complicated but, for example, GOG does a commendable job preserving old games and opposing DRM, forced updates, etc.
