Maybe it's the right time for an open source browser to take the spotlight against Chrome?

@itsfoss Which Browser should fix it? Mozilla bought an ad company, integrated tracking secretly into Firefox (and named it misleadingly privacy *preserving* attribution). And they kicked out their advocacy team, which fought for a free and open web.

If they head into the same direction as Chrome, Edge and other spyware, Firefox will become irrelevant.

@dideldum @itsfoss Privacy preserving attribution does preserve privacy. It just should have been explained better inside Firefox itself (as opposed to being described on a blog) and it should have been opt-in rather than opt-out.

It's about achieving attribution without tracking users. Ad companies claim it can't be done and therefore they should be allowed to track users. Mozilla shows it can be done and therefore tracking should be illegal.
