@palllyyy There are some unspoken assumptions, for example that instances are run either by Mastodon GmbH or random volunteers/enthusiasts. Meanwhile my instance, for example, is run by Purism, a hardware manufacturer focused on privacy and free (as in freedom) software. There's an instance run by European Commission (ec.social-network.europa.eu). Mozilla used to have its own instance (they are closing it though). And so on...

@fdroidorg Would it be possible for F-Droid app to automatically inform users when the signing key changes (like when reproducible build arrives), so they know to reinstall? After all, F-Droid knows that the key change is intended.

@noelreports Some of this equipment sounds like it was only given to NK special forces.

@faab64 @tobyleaf @Klaxun There's also Brave Search, but I don't use it, so IDK how good it is.

@itsfoss On that privacy tests website, few entire sections that are shown red for Firefox, would turn green with uBlock Origin with privacy/anti-tracking filters selected.

I'm also surprised by ECH being marked as not supported. It should be on by default since Firefox 119.

@Watchdog_Polska Niebezpiecznik, Zaufana Trzecia Strona i Sekurak są chyba dość znane, ale na wszelki wypadek wymieniam.

@lin11c @noelreports The previous statement was that despite the presence of NK soldiers, US won't add any additional limits on US weapons, so I assume Biden means "you can attack North Koreans just like you attack Russians".

@ross Code on GitHub is not a big problem, as Git is distributed anyway. Issues on GitHub are a bigger problem, as they can't be easily salvaged when something happens.

The convenience you demanded is now mandatory.

@itsfoss Apparently only those employed in sanctioned companies. It's still not clear if they can keep contributing and on what terms.

@AAMfP @wojslaw @EUCommission People out there eat pasta with cream and strawberries. How does that make you feel?

@jbqueru @EUCommission Or maybe Estonia has a black market for pasta, so most of it is not reported?

@CIMB4 @itsfoss As long as you fit in RAM, the bottleneck will be the sloooow HDD. But when you exhaust RAM, you will start swapping (if you have any swap) and it will be a whole another level of pain.

TL;DR it's going to work reasonably well only if your distro, DE/WM and apps are simple (use little RAM).

@ArtHarg @noelreports There are multiple variants. Some drones just have a warhead that detonates when ramming into ships. Some have multiple rocket launchers for striking ground targets (perhaps also ships). Some, like this one, have anti-aircraft rockets.

BTW this drone is called Sea Baby and English Wikipedia article on it talks about this very video. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sea_Baby

@lnp The transcript mixes English and German, sometimes even mangling sentences.

@ArtHarg @noelreports Noel says the drone does have a "converted R-73 short-range air-to-air missile". This is probably why the helicopter was dodging when the drone started turning. They really didn't want the drone to face them.
