@smoothoperatorgr @dangillmor do people migrate from Whatsapp to Signal? Those feel like different demographics to me. Whatsapp users generally use it because "everyone else does". Signal users are looking for privacy and end-to-end encryption (I know Whatsapp claims to have that too but they've had too many security breaches for me to take them seriously).
@dangillmor I've been trying to figure that one out too...
Did you know I have a full “Linux Essentials” certification course available for free? https://snar.co/linux
@schestowitz I'm the publisher of LJ. It's not an embedded ad -- I actually just pinged them and asked if they had any offers for journalists on World Press Freedom day. They did. So did Tutanota. We spread the word for both. I'd love to have more for journalists today but didn't find much else (although apparently the New York Times is taking their paywall down for 3 days in honor of today... something I just found out). Anyhow, I'm rambling. :) Just sharing.

He's got coders in the chat room buildin' a phone

Now we gonna pick a license for this. GNU's up, closed's down while you other developers code to this.
Rollin' down the street, writin' free code, licensed for GNU, laid back, with my mind on the Librem and the Librem on my mind.
