I’m a little disappointed on the 3rd episode of #the100. Octavia has the right idea and she gets left outside the city. And for Bellamy to leave her doesn’t make much sense. Don’t know where they are going with this but she’ll probably end up running a new set of grounders now.
Laws to protect consumers from corporations that harvest and monetize their personal data are not enough. It is also necessary for these laws to have bite, to ensure companies do not ignore them.

I’m going full in with #purism. Paid for the #LibremOne package, switching my MacBook to #PureOS this weekend, and once I find out which phone companies will accept #Librem5 I will switch my phone as soon as possible. I get it that a lot of “techies” will switch to #LibremOne which is good and bad. Some of them are condescending to new users who may not understand it as much, but we all need to welcome new users and make it as simple and enjoyable as possible that’s the only way to get the numbers of people that will make a difference. If people truly understood how simple and easy #linux is they would switch to that and not chromebooks. Make it fun everyone, just like the LibremOne commercial.

NSL gag orders block companies from telling customers their data is being sought. FBI is required to determine whether the gag orders are still necessary, and terminate those that are not. EFF sued for records to find out if the FBI is following the law.

I’m glad I stumbled on to #libremone. Anything that stands a chance of putting a dent in Facebook / Instagrams business has my support. Free is nice but paying for the account helps support the cause. One way or another you’re paying so might as well be up front.
