Went to the thrift store for a TV stand. Returned with a TV stand, a vintage spinning wheel, and a vintage sewing machine. All for less than €60. Not mad about it at all.

Finished the fingerless mitts I started in... August? Been way too busy lately. Anyway, this is all handspun yarn. My friend did the white on the wheel I bought her, and I did the brown with a drop spindle I made out of wood from a big oak tree damaged in a hurricane years back.

@ju it was a 2m tree! It would have still hung out the back of my truck at home 😂

Still I’m sure a real Dutchie would have managed to carry the tree, a bag of firewood, and a case of Hertog Jan while actually cycling home with no hands.

My fiancée said we must have a tree. This was accomplished by tying one to my bicycle and walking it a few km home. Kinda made me miss my truck 😂

Back when I put #QubesOS on my desktop full time I apparently used my #Tails USB stick. Oops. I'll be fixing that today, and also thinking about how I change my device usage patterns for 2021 when my #Purism machines (Librem 14 and Librem 5) ship.

All the surprises came up today. Got em solved, one and all, but some of the issues were on me and that’s not a feeling I’m terribly used to, or fond of. Need to improve my test coverage on some of these things for sure.

This week’s dev-a-thon has been extremely productive and successful. My team is absolutely crushing every task I delegate. This has freed me to set process and procedures with the rest of the management team to reduce load on everyone. A lot of what has been implemented is focused on #security and we’ve made some huge improvements.

@Gina yesterday was the first time since I moved back to Delft that I even turned the camera on in a meeting. Might be the last too 😂

@purism looks great! The only but that concerns me for now, as a lifelong member of the hjkl club, is how many times I’m going to miss the tiny right shift and hit the up arrow I will almost certainly never touch intentionally. Guess that’s what external keyboards are for though

Tomorrow will be an all day dev-a-thon spanning the full range from #embedded to #cloud on a tight schedule before a key player goes on leave for the rest of the year.
