Did you know that you can check out source code for things Purism works on (such as Librem One applications and bits relating to the upcoming Librem 5 smartphone) right from source.puri.sm?

Source code should be Free.

That's just how we roll.

@purism it makes me sad that by the time the phone is released its going to be completely outdated. and the majority of the consumers will be nerds

@salsa20 @purism I think the only people I've ever seen care about phone specs *are* nerds. Most people want their phones to just work™️. It's probably not possible to satisfy everyone's criteria for that, unfortunately. Hopefully privacy will be appealing enough to bring some people on board.

@louispearson @salsa20 @purism Outdated by who's standards? I have to fight with people to upgrade from their S5 phones that aren't even receiving security updates anymore.

@mikemac @louispearson @purism As in, it's specs will be lower than the competition. But then again, I just realised the OS will be less bloated and thus will require far less resources to run. Nevermind. However maybe you can help answer a question I have.

How will librem 5 prevent or protect against SIM card vulnerabilities and code injections through it?

@salsa20 @louispearson @purism that question is probably best left to Purism to answer. I would shoot them an email at info@puri.sm

They seem to be pretty responsive.
