Well, now I have updated my router! I have swapped its outdated stock firmware to the updated OpenWrt firmware! OpenWrt is a Linux operating system for embedded devices. @PublicLewdness For time being I'm happy and satisfied it's up and running with basic settings. I should explore some more. And in general, as I understand OpenWrt generally gives more settings and features to most routers than they have with standard stock firmware.
Congrats ! I plan on doing the same long term but at the moment it's not my router to mess with.
