That time I took the #FreeDOS 23rd anniversary PDF and made it #DOS accessible by recreating it as a TXT file (with search based tags for navigation), and also a #WordPerfect 5 document that preserved the PDF layout as much as I could manage. ;) (Jim Hall helped out by providing text copy used in the PDF.)

3 years ago I volunteered to create a new edition of Ethan Winer’s 1990s BASIC programming book using LibreOffice (@libreoffice). Over the span of a year, with Ethan’s editorial input, I rebuilt the book layout from TXT sources in #LibreOffice , and recreated all diagrams from scratch using #FreeDOS, #InkScape and #GIMP. It turned out great!

#Wordstar is now freely distributable and Robert J. Sawyer has worked hard to create a .zip with both WS and DOSBox-X already configured for running after unzipping.
It comes configured for a Windows system with local C:/ drive. You need to put the WS folder in the Zip in your local C:/ root path, and then DB-X will auto-mount and run WS automatically.
Mac and Linux users will need their own DB-X and to edit the .conf for mounting to Unixy paths.
From 1992 to 1997, Apple shipped over 40 Macintosh models wearing a Performa badge. I'm writing about all of them on @512pixels during August.
Welcome to Performa Month!
#BREADBOX is the coolest Commodore classic computers emulation sim-suite! It's brilliantly skeuomorphic. Picked it up today and gave it a quick whirl: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQtWXXYjBvM

Ok this made me cry. A celebration of 70 years of space family and friendships. *wipes a tear* I would have bawled outright if it was Doctor Who x Star Trek x Firefly. :D
You're on my crew. o7
I LOVE this messaging. Community manager of #Warframe encourages people to take a break if they need to. They "can always come home, even a year later" etc. If only the #Destiny community could be this warm and accepting, and not call any urge to take a break a "dead game, make Destiny 3" signal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ay3pqYZf_jw

A little bit of logo repair. The 25 year old glue had finally lost its adhesion.
Awww my fireteam included Zavala, Crow, Ikora, Caiatl, Cayde-6, Mara and Ghost! They can take some credit. :D
The #Destiny player base is infuriating with how they’re always bored. They have the funnest, largest (lore and more), most innovating FPS shoot-loot MMORPG ever made, and if they don’t have a campaign that takes years to make to play at every second, every day, all year round, they’re bored.
Absolute spoiled brats with no curiosity or adventure who take everything for granted.
There is no intrinsic boredom in this vast content. THEY (players) are the boring. They bring it themselves.
I like seeing iBook references in modern media. Spotted a tangerine iBook inspired laptop in a dating visual novel I’m reading on Switch.
