you should look at #slcl, a suckless-inspired cloud server software written in C. while it's not quite feature complete yet, it's getting there and it's great
@hamblingreen What is 'feature-complete'? Will it support 'apps' like nextcloud does?
@zachdecook not that i know of. i meant feature complete as in the ability to delete files from the interface. as far as i know it's a file server with a nice interface, and won't be a full nextcloud replacement. that being said, i've already switched from nextcloud to slcl because i never used additional nextcloud features like their chat service, calendar, todo list, etc
@hamblingreen my nextcloud usage has been dwindling. I use anonymous uploads, password prote-ted (expiring) share, and occasionally news (RSS reader). Of the groupware, mostly caldav is one I rely on so my wife and I can share a calendar.
