@zudn I never bought into the ecosystems, but I don't think they have captured the internet, people have just become too comfortable.
Linus Tech Tips did a video a while back on switching to FOSS Adobe alternatives. They stuck with Adobe not because they're better but because they're integrated. If they'd been using FOSS software from the start they probably wouldn't like Adobe at all.
@GoEsr Dunno, your average Joe, like me, is bewildered by it all. I read people recommending the switch to Linux, and others saying no way regular folk can do this. I get excited seeing lots of options, but 99% use command line. Anyway, thanks for the feedback on this.
