There is one issue I highly disagree with conservatives on. That is the issue of Environment. I am in favor of renewable energy, investing in solar homes, Solar cars, planes, trucks and solar energy exports, wind and hydrothermal power. We need to wake up!

@Untersuchende
Which would you prefer:
1. A nuclear powered future of increased and consistent energy consumption.
2. A solar powered future of decreased and intermittent energy consumption.

@zachdecook That is based on false assumptions and false claims against solar. So I abstain 😂

@Untersuchende
False claims like "solar only works when the sun is shining"?

It won't let me vote in my own poll, but I'm not sure how I would... Low energy consumption and 'not-always online' can be ideals.

@zachdecook plenty of sunlight to power the whole world in Australia and plenty of other areas currently depending on oil (Arabia). The sun isn't going anywhere. Even if you are personally live in the Antarctic or Arctic all the sun power can come from elsewhere.

No lack of sun there. Wind, hydro thermal, water flow turbines in lakes, rivers and coastal waters are all better alternatives.

@zachdecook also don't forget about batteries. So much energy can be stored for later. Also in countries where it rains heavily throughout the year storm water drains can have turbines that generate electricity based on the flow of water. Batteries for what isn't used is not rocket science. It's just a matter of entrepreneurship, intelligence and implementation.
