Cliqz shut down today

Let me reiterate this more clearly:
Firefox opted users into sending all of their browsing history to a third party for the purpose of targeted advertising.
@sir I guess the real question is wtf to do about the browser problem.
It’s a doomed Herculean effort to attempt a greenfield project, so the most viable option is probably using an existing open source render engine and JS engine.
Is Konquerer still a thing? Even if it is, it wasn’t cross-platform. I’m unaware of anything better than Firefox to recommend to normies.

`links -g` is graphical, allows user-definable fonts, colors, etc, and loads pages faster by avoiding JS and CSS.

@zachdecook @sir I’m less concerned about nerds finding creative solutions than I am being able to recommend something to rando normies that isn’t essentially malware.
