good morning, kiwis.. happy day-after-christmas.. 🎄

drama here with the family. my mom took herself to the hospital overnight because she was feeling so shitty, and she has covid.. my dad is sick but is being extremely stubborn and flippant about it.. i am sick. i just want to go home, but i feel like now i ought to stay and help them. my mom is trying to cook me breakfast. bitch, go to bed..!! i keep trying to give her advice to help her symptoms and it’s like talking to a goddamn wall. she won’t use the humidifier, she won’t use lozenges even though she says her throat is killing her, she won’t take the OTC medicine i offered her… gaaaaah. she just revealed she went and slept on the couch last night because she thought her cough might bother my dad. 🙄 so at least if i leave, she can use this bedroom… sigh. maybe i will get it set up with the humidifier and everything so she doesn’t have a damn choice.

anyway, i personally feel a bit more human than yesterday, but still pretty crappy. this morning my ears are all plugged up, so that’s driving me crazy. sigh. fixing to go to the store and get supplies for them which they will probably not use and will also try to pay me for. FAMILY!!

i am quite ill since yesterday and not able to do too much, and my mom is too, so it is a pretty quiet reunion here. i feel like as soon as i get up, my energy starts to drain at lightning speed and my head starts to spin, so just going to get an ice pack or go pee leaves me feeling super wiped out. i feel like i should go home, but i don’t even want to drive lol. ): so it is a little bit miserable. i feel guilty and ungrateful.

anyway, i’m sorry to complain.. it is not the main focus of the day. but i hope you are well.. eat a christmas food for me. maybe a christmas cookie. xx
